Good Morning,

I am writing on behalf of The MidNight Pilgrims band to enquire about playing at the Maverick Festival 2008. Our band is playing at this year’s Americana International (Saturday), Wolvestock, Great North and Pickering / Skipton Country Music Festivals.

The MidNight Pilgrims play upbeat and edgy Americana and Country Rock (roots rock) originals and covers with influences from Steve Earle, Marshall Tucker Band, John Mellencamp…we also throw in a smattering of bluegrass and banjo numbers.

We would like to be considered for your festival and would be happy to send over a demo pack for your perusal. We are based in the Sandbach/Crewe area of the Northwest.

Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Rick Fenoglio

Please have a look at our website to find out about “KAY’D and the REDNECK RODEO” a new country band fronted by a sensational 17 year old female singer. Kay’D has performed all over the UK over the past three years and has become a favourite among many fans. KAY’D and the REDNECK RODEO are performing at the Great North C&W Festival, Barnard Castle, in July this year. If you are looking for a fresh band for your festival please contact myself at your convenience.

Hi Guys

I am writing on behalf of JC and Angelina Grimshaw a brother and sister Acoustic Country Blues duo from the Isle of Wight and wondered if there was a space at this year’s Festival that they could fill.

JC and Angelina regularly play the concert pitch at London’s Royal National Theatre. They have recently played the Banbury and Swanage Blues Festivals.

Previously they have played the main stage at the Maryport Blues Festival and the Acoustic Roots Cafe at the Larmer Tree Festival. They have also opened for the likes of Buddy Miller, Kevin Montgomery, The Holmes Brother, Cara Dillon and Van Morrison to name but a few.

Check out their website. I can be contacted on michael.gadd2@ntlworld.com or Angelina can be contacted direct at angelinagrimshaw@yahoo.co.uk.

All the best

Hi Nice People @ Maverick

Sounds like a great festival. Check out our website; we’re proud to represent Dan Baird & Homemade Sin (ex Georgia Satellites), Jason & The Scorchers and Warner E. Hodges, all great festival acts.

Take care

Mick

The Riders of The Circle B - a U.S. Western Music group is interested in your festival. They currently perform nightly at their own theater in Branson, Missouri and have a huge following in the U.S.
Please let me know how the can go about getting information on appearing at your festival.
Respectfully,

Laura

Hello everyone - we hope you’re well. Regarding the Maverick festival we have had a HUGE number of bands, musicians and solo artists wishing to play one of the stages. I’m afraid we have had so many requests that as a two man operation here at Maverick, it has been impossible to reply to everyone individually. However, I can inform you that everyone who has contacted us regarding playing the festival, has been added to a list of which we and the Maverick festival team have been ploughing through to compile the acts for the 2008 festival (which is not as yet complete). If we don’t get in touch we will be keeping your names on file for consideration of opportunities later in the year. Again I apologise for not getting back to everyone personally and hope you continue to enjoy Maverick Magazine…
