Nominees Announced For Americana Honours & Awards Show
Alison Krauss, Robert Plant, Levon Helm and James McMurtry lead the nominees for the Americana Music Association, with three nods apiece. Alison Krauss and Robert Plant are up for duo/group of the year, album of the year and song of the year. McMurtry and Helm are also up for album of the year and song of the year, as well as artists of the year. Steve Earle is nominated for artist of the year. Sam Bush is a nominee in the instrumentalist of the year category. Drive-By Truckers are up for duo/group of the year. The awards ceremony is slated for Thursday, September 18th, at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
