Nicola Brazil, once known as Niki Dean started out as a recording artist from Leeds and winner of the British Rising Star Award in the HMV British country music awards in 2000, is gracing the stage again. Currently playing Alice in All The Fun At The Fair at the Garrick Theatre, Nicola has also enjoyed the roles of Amber in Hairspray, Sandy in Grease and an ensemble part in Wicked at the Victoria Apollo.
Armed with a music career that led to the recording and release of CROSS THE BATTLELINE, Nicola had enjoyed much success as a rising country music star. Initially focused on bringing country music to a younger audience in the UK, Nicola and her band received an enthusiastic and much younger audience following many school performances.
Highlights of her music career include opening for Beth Nielsen Chapman at a London concert, her trip to Nashville to record CROSS THE BATTLEFIELD and being chosen to support Don Williams on a 23 date UK tour.
CROSS THE BATTLELINE was produced by the legendary Gail Davies, Nashville’s first female record producer and was engineered by Craig White, whose work includes Shania Twain, LeAnn Rimes and Tim McGraw. Recorded with maturity beyond her years, the songs depict relationships, heartache and vulnerability and won her many accolades.
The album is once again available to all of Nicola Brazil’s many fans here. We hope you enjoy!
